The Festival is designed to provide a platform for young filmmakers to showcase their talents by turning an instrument of bullying - the mobile phone, into a positive filmmaking tool exploring stories by young people about the real life impacts of their online world.
The Festival offers awards for Best Film Junior (10-12 years), Best Film Intermediate (13-15 years) Best Film Senior (16-18 years), People's Choice and Spirit of REELise. Additionally at the 2017 Festival a new "the Pink Prize" will be introduced for the film that best explores a theme of bullying, discrimination, homophobia or transphobia. Prizes include on set experiences with Australian film and television production houses designed to provide industry connections and practical experience for young filmmakers.
