Festival Overview

The University Film & Video Association@USF is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2nd annual UFVA Summer film fair at USF. The fair takes place Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the USF Marshall Center Ballroom from 9am to 5pm. Our current major sponsors are the USF Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies (humanities.usf.edu) and IvisionTV (www.ivisiontv.net). We are also collaborating with Tampa Bay Arts and Education Channel (http://www.tbae.net/). We also have support from Payal Jairamdas, Acupuncture Physician (www.payalacupunture.com) and DesiWebUSA (www.desiwebusa.com)

This is an event for young people, college students, and indie filmmakers interested in pursuing film as a career. We hope to bring over 200 attendees for an all-day event of lectures, workshops, film screenings, and networking with film schools.

Our special guest is Dean Frank Patterson, Dean of the Florida State University Film School (http://film.fsu.edu/Faculty-Administration/Faculty/Frank-Patterson).

The event is open to the public. Free for all USF students with student ID and $20 in advance for the public. Tickets will be $25 at the door. Tickets include free breakfast and free lunch. The tickets can be obtained online at http://usf-ufva2ndfilmfair.eventbrite.com/
