Festival Overview

The Reel Youth Film Festival empowers young artists to express their creativity, entertain audiences, and share their visions for a more just and sustainable world.

History

Since 2005, the Reel Youth Film Festival has toured unique programs of youth0made short films to hundreds of communities. Each year, our festival premier adds a youth-made component to the prestigious Vancouver International Film Festival. For the following year, our festival tours to dozens of other communities, reaching thousands of people.

Awards

Winning films are chosen based entirely on audience votes, which are tallied at the end of the tour year. Winning films are given increased distribution, showcased on our website, and promoted through a variety of social media platforms.
