On the festival we only show 8mm material, the preamble of DVD and video tape recorder, the popular amateur film from 1960s and 70s. faded colours, unfocused interludes, scratches, dust and other filth run ongoing trough the picture. Splendid.
Many of us still have such films in a old shoe box at the attic. On 8mm-festival these pictures are reveived. And how! On cinema dimensions with dolby Surround sound '.
Nostalgic family pictures, weddings, holidays, experiments with artistic intentions, it doesn't matter, anything goes. Ramshackle and accessibility are raised to standards on this festival.

The festival started in 2003. It is an initiative of three enthusiastic 8mm-cineasts, who organise this grand happening entirely out of love for this medium. Therefore this is a no-budget festival to which everyone can participate. Access is free. Therefore send us a movie and participate! All participants automatically compete for The Forgotten Lenscap 2005
