Festival Overview
25 FPS is looking for works that explore conceptual and technological possibilities of the medium; works that relate to the tradition of experimental and avant-garde film making in an innovative way; works that reveal new forms of the moving image.
History
Founded in 2005 with great jury members like Fred Camper, Peter Tscherkassky, Taka Iimura, Matthias Müller, Chris Shepherd and Marcel Jean; great retrospectives made by curators like Stefanie Schulte Strathauss (arsenal experimental; Forum Expanded at Berlinale) or Mark Webber (Shoot Shoot Shoot), and main Competition Program selected out of 1.300 works applied every year from more then 60 countries world wide.
More then 5000 viewers each year.

Eligibility:
Short experimental films and videos up to 20 minutes; hybrid works that combine animation techniques, and all the works that are experimenting with conceptual and technological possibilities of the medium...

Formats:
Previews are excepted on DVD formats (both PAL/NTSC).

Works accepted for the screening in the Competition Program are Betacam SP, Digibeta, HDCAM (PAL!) + 16 mm and 35 mm film.
