Festival Overview

The purpose of the festival is to showcase what indie filmmakers from around the world consider "erotic". In the context of a short film, filmmakers can explore what's sexy, regardless of mainstream media's prescriptions.

Good Vibrations, the legendary San Francisco-based company that takes pride in providing accurate information on sexuality and toys for grown-ups, presents 5 nights of diverse cinema and culminates in the international short film competition and party at the historic Castro Theatre on September 22nd.

We invite filmmakers from around the world to show us what they think is sexy (or somehow sex-related) in 7 minutes or less, and the definition of "erotic" is as broad as you can imagine (funny, serious, explicit, no sex, gay, straight, kink, romantic, documentary, etc.) The audience votes on their favorite and the winner receives $1,500.

San Francisco's favorite drag queen and filmmaker Peaches Christ, hostess of San Francisco's legendary Midnight Mass, joins the Festival as Emcee, sharing the stage with Dr. Carol Queen, PhD., sex educator, author, activist and Good Vibrations Chief Cultural Officer.

The Audience Choice award winner will receive $1,500!
