Festival Overview

Borderlines Film Festival, the UK's largest rural film festival, brings quality films from around the world and close to home to Herefordshire, Shropshire and the Marches early each spring.

17 days of wall-to-wall cinema in steel and glass arts centres, stuccoed assembly rooms, the back rooms of pubs and innumerable village halls.


For 2017 we have a Best Short Film Award open to UK-based filmmakers aged 16-24. Finalists to be screened at the Festival and the prize for the overall winner is £500. For full details and to register, visit
