Festival Overview

The Spokane International Film Festival is a small, selective offering of world-class films. These are the very best features, documentaries and shorts that have been made around the world during the past two years but have not yet been commercially released for wide distribution.


All films compete for the Audience Award. Other awards include Best Feature, Best Documentary, Best Northwest Film, Best Animation, Best Short, and Most Promising Filmmaker.

Entry into SpIFF is open to everyone. We prefer that films be completed no more than two years prior to their screening at SpIFF.


SpIFF prefers entries either as DVD or digital files that are viewable on the internet.


Fees vary for features, mid-length, and short films and by date of submission. Submission fees are detalied on the following page: http://www.spokanefilmfestival.org/submit.html
