Festival Overview

Call for Entries | 23rd International Film Festival SCHLINGEL

The International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience SCHLINGEL conceives itself as a platform for brand new international children’s and youth films in Germany.
Filmmakers, Sales Agents & Distributors from all over the world are welcome to submit their work for the 23rd SCHLINGEL edition, which takes place from 1 till 7 October 2018 in Chemnitz / Germany.

Submission is open till 1 July 2018. (Online submission preferred e.g. via Wetransfer.com, link or festivalfocus.org.) 10 experts, children’s and youth juries award prizes with a total value of 64,000 Euros.

Only CHILDREN and YOUTH feature, short and animated films completed after 1 January 2017 can apply for the competitions. For screening purpose, a viewing copy (DVD, DCP, Blu-Ray) of the film or an online submission (eg via Wetransfer.com or link) with German or English subtitles is necessary.

In order to submit your production to SCHLINGEL you have to send the screener and the completed entry form to the festival before the given deadline. In any case, we ask you to carefully read the regulations. Deadline for this year's applications is 1 July 2018.
