Festival Overview

Kino are proud to present a Student Short Film Festival taking place at the Three Minute Theatre in Manchester 10 - 12th June 2013.

Submissions for the festival now open to all students and young people from 16yr - 26yr old. For an application form please contact us or send a message via Kino Shorts facebook page or leave a request on the page.

All catagories open as long as films are less than 20 minutes and made within 2012 to June 2013. Festival is open to students throughout the UK and there will also be a programme of European and International shorts.

There is a £5.00 submission fee, forms available from our blog or contact


There will be awards in several catagories including:
Best UK Student film, Best European Student Short Film, Best International Short Film, Best Animation, Best New Talent and Audience Award.

Open to the public


Students and young people between 16 - 26yrs old. Mature students that produced a short film whilst in full time education are also eligible to apply.


DVD / Blue Ray / digital files(mov / quicktime etc). SCreeners must be submitted on DVD and posted with an application form to the festival office address


Currently £5 UKP until 26th May, £10 from 27th May - 2nd June.
