Festival Overview

Zookastar is a film festival celebrating all aspects of film related matter; screenings, seminars, workshops, competitions, studio launches, animation, collectors fairs and more..
This year we are focusing on competition film entries of Shorts for Halloween, Horror and the current 100 years of Bollywood celebrations. Live action or animation are welcomed.

We also have a special competition is association with Genero.TV to make the official music video for Tricky, culminating in an award ceremony at Zookastar with a a panel of industry experts and Tricky awarding the prizes.
Outstanding videos will also be nominated for the 2013 Genero Awards.

Awards

The short film competition winner and runners up will be announced at the festival. Prizes include goody bags from some of our excellent Movie Memorablia dealers, and the winner will receive a cash prize of $500.

The Winner of the Tricky official music video will receive a prize of US$3000, and the runner up receives US$1000.

Eligibility:

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
* Film(s) must be the original work of the applicant(s).
* All intellectual property rights must be respected; permission for the inclusion of any copyrighted material (music, pre-recorded footage) in the films must be acquired by the filmmakers.
* Post submissions to: E Kayne, Zookastar, 28 West End, Melksham, Wiltshire, SN12 6HJ, UK
* If selected as a Finalist, filmmakers agree to allow clips of their works to be shown on the Zookastar website for promotion.
* If selected as a Finalist, filmmakers will be asked to provide a Pal DVD, 35mm print or digi-beta version of their films.
* English must be one of the audio language options of the films; otherwise the films must be subtitled in English.
* It is suggested that the films be copyrighted.
