Festival Overview

Children's International Film Festival (CIFF) is a celebration of the infinite "creativity" and "curiosity" in children.
The overarching objectives of this one-of-its-kinds festival are:

- providing a solid & continuing platform for the children to express their infinite creativity by participating in the inter-school Filmmaking Competition section, and
- feeding their infinite curiosity by screening award-winning, meaningful and inspiring films from all across the world in the International Films section.
-To set an internationally recognized standard of excellence in films and videos for children by inviting professional filmmakers from across the world to showcase their exceptional work made specially for children.

Filmmakers, above the age of 18 years (on the date of application), who have made a film specifically for children (3 to 16 years) are eligible to enter the International Films section.

The content of films should comply with the Content Guidelines (


In order to short-list the film, CIFF requires access to the entire film on an online platform like YouTube, Vimeo, etc or DVD can be couriered. For further details, please visit

Once short-listed, CIFF prefers that the films are submitted in DCP format. Other formats like DVD, Blue-ray, may be acceptable only once all possibilities for converting the film into DCP have been screened out.


There are no entry fees associated with this festival
