The Torino International Gay and Lesbian Film festival reaches its 21st edition this year. 21 years devoted to great cinema, always dealing with the homosexual question.
Thanks to its careful selection of films, over the years , the Festival has become one of the most important venues for discussion and debate for both the gay community and a wider audience.
The Festival has also managed to introduce the Italian audience to directors such as François Ozon, Gus Van Sant, Derek Jarman, Todd Haynes and, recently, Eytan Fox and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, as well as rediscovering almost forgotten artists and writers...
Four competitive categories: Feature Films, Short Films, Documentaries and Video Medium Length/Feature Films. All the films will be judged by four different international juries who will award the Ottavio Mai Prize for the Best Feature Film and a prize for each of the above mentioned sections. Films in each section will also be in the running for an Audience Award.
A non-competitive showcase called "Panorama" for the most recent and interesting film and video productions.
And Tributes, experimental sections, and so on...
