Festival Overview

Land of Lincoln Credit Union is a proud supporter of the arts and is very excited to announce our 9th annual "21 Film Project" Film Contest and Screening. Simply submit your 4-minute short film, and you could win a grand prize of $1,500! We have received hundreds of entries over the past several years and look forward to seeing this year's films. Above all, we here at the credit union love movies and are proud to have created a showcase for amateur film makers everywhere. So, get out there, film your movie and you could be the next winner in Land of Lincoln Credit Union's "21 Film Project" contest. Good luck!


Pictures will be judged by an independent panel and LLCU employees. (3) nominees in each category will be chosen and announced. Top films in each of the categories will be awarded the following prizes:

a) Best Picture $1,500.00 Grand Prize & Award
b) Best Direction (1) Prize & Award
c) Best Actor (1) Prize & Award
d) Best Editing (1) Prize & Award
e) Best Screenplay (1) Prize & Award
f) Best Use of LLCU
Name and Tag (1) Prize & Award
g) People's Choice Award (1) Award

The People's Choice Award will be voted on and announced at the Award Show and Screening.

The 21 Film Project will be held in downtown Decatur during the 31st annual Decatur Celebration! With total attendance of almost 300,000, the Celebration is a great way to get the exposure your film deserves. Film Project events will be held throughout the weekend, including screenings of the top films and award-winning films from other festivals around the country.

Open to the public


Film any type of movie that you would like (i.e. comedy, drama, etc.) and enter it into our "21 Film Project Contest". It's simple to enter, just submit your finished movie online or at one of Land Lincoln Credit Union's branches and follow the rules listed below.

Entries must be submitted online or on a DVD or VHS. Movies can be dropped off at any of our branches or mailed to: LLCU Marketing Department, 4850 E. Prosperity Place, Decatur, IL 62521.
Films can be no longer than (4) minutes without credits.
Movies must somehow incorporate our name "Land of Lincoln Credit Union" and our tagline "Bank on learning more." The movie does not have to be about the credit union. You do not have to bank at LLCU to participate.
You must be 16 years or older to enter. Only one entry per person may be submitted. Use of any copyrighted material is prohibited.
LLCU will reject any entry it deems inappropriate (i.e. pictures featuring nudity, language, criminal acts against LLCU, drug or alcohol abuse or excessive violence).
A waiver must be signed with each entry. The waiver can be obtained on our web site (above) or at our branches.
All entries are due by July 18th, 2016. Other restrictions and guidelines may apply.
International films are not eligible to win, but may be screened during the festival.

You can enter our "21 Film Project" contest on-line by clicking on the "Submit Your Film" button above or you can mail in your entry to Land of Lincoln Credit Union, ATTN: Marketing, 4850 E. Prosperity Place, Decatur, IL 62521. If you mail your entry, please be sure to download and complete the entry form and sign the waiver. Also, please review the rules of the contest before submitting.
