Festival Overview

The Australian Oz International Film Festival has been conceived to celebrate the very best of Australian and International independent film making. At a time when movies are becoming more and more programmed by market research, demographics and comic books and computer game sales, is has never been more important to discover and foster new brave independent and adventurous visionaries dealing with life in the modern world, be it in a serious thought provoking style or in a satirist humorous way.

It also is of no importance whether your political bend is either left wing or right wing or non-political, your film will be judged on only one criteria – the quality of the work. Art should be open minded and stimulate healthy debate and thought. Proudly, we have no other restrictions on your work. This includes your works premier status, it's age and/or whether your work has been made available online.
