Kinofilm would like to announce the dates of the next KINOFILM Manchester Internationl Short Short Film Festival as 20th - 26th November 2017

CALL FOR ENTRIES NEWS: Submissions to Kinofilm are now open until the Final deadline 1st July (extended deadline 7th July. All submissions are now online only, For more info please go to www.kinofilm.org.uk

There are eight main sections in the competition.
1. Euro Cine Shorts (France, Italy, Spain, Germany)
2. British Shorts
3. Manchester and North West Shorts
4. Kino Exposed (Student & Youth Shorts)
5. International Panorama (all other than the above)
6. Animation Shorts
7. New Polish and Easter European Shorts
8. Iranian Shorts

Please note that films can only be submitted either or through various on line submissions sites such as WithoutaBOX and FilmFreeway. See either site for the current fee for July entries , discounted rates are available via WAB and there are discount codes available for FFW.

You can download the submissions form, data protection form, rules and regulations from the Festival blog page above and submit direct to the festival via post.

You can enter a special 3 minute short film competition FREE via Festival Focus only. See Below for details, deadline 7th July.

Awards

Three Minute Wonders is a special competition as part of the Kinofilm Festival in Manchester and free entry is through Festival Focus only (please see Submissions below for on line submissions to this category only). There will be prizes for the winning films produced specifically for the festival competition. Any short films lasting 2 mins to a max of 3 mins (excluding credits) are eligible. Special 3 min film Competition for entrants of Festival Focus.

The main festival will also be competitive but award prices are only announced if and when we can secure prizes. If no prizes are secured then certificates and trophies will be presented and off course you will honoured with the acknowledgement of one of the best films in the festival. The award categories will be:

Eligibility:

Open to all British, European and International filmmakers of all levels and ages.

Formats:

Digital submissions via any of the online festival submissions sites above. If necessary the festival organisers may allow a digital submission direct but the form and fee must be paid in full before we will consider the film. Please don't ask us to view public links for films as films in the public domain will not be accepted. Submission to the Three Minute Shorts competition is free via Festival Focus.

Entry fees for All Standard CALL FOR ENTRIES as follows via Filmfreeway and Withoutabox:

Filmmakers have the opportunity to submit films through WithaoutBox where members can claim a £5 discount and Now submit via Freefilmway.

PLEASE NOTE, LOCAL FILMMAKERS AND THOSE FROM GREATER MANCHESTER THAT HAVE HAD FILMS SHOWN AT KINO SHORTS (OUR MONTHLY EVENT) CAN SUBMIT FILMS FOR £15 UNTIL further notice (evidence of previous films screened will be requested). THESE DISCOUTS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY TO OUR REGION'S FILMMAKERS IN RETURN FOR THEIR SUPPORT FOR OUR MONTHLY EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

Student and youth films can be submitted for only £10 (films will be considered for Kinofilm and Kino Exposed).
