Kinofilm would like to announce the dates of the next KINOFILM Manchester Internationl Short Short Film Festival as 26th November to the 2nd December 2018.

CALL FOR ENTRIES NEWS: Submissions to Kinofilm are now open until the Final deadline 31th May (extended deadline 30th June by arrangement only). All submissions are now online only, For more info please go to www.kinofilm.org.uk

There are 10 main sections in the competition.
1. Euro Cine Shorts (France, Italy, Spain, Germany)
2. British New Wave Shorts
3. Manchester and North West Shorts
4. Kino Exposed (Student & Youth Shorts)
5. International Panorama (all other than the above)
6. Animation Shorts
7. New Polish and Eastern European Shorts
8. Iranian Shorts
9. Experimental and Three Minute wonders
10. Youth section under 17

Awards

The festival will be competitive but award prizes are only announced if and when we have secure prizes. In addition, certificates and/or trophies will be presented and off course you will honoured with the acknowledgement of being awarded one of the best films in the festival. The award categories will be:

Eligibility:

Open to all British, European and International filmmakers of all levels and ages.

Formats:

Digital submissions via any of the online festival submissions sites above. If necessary the festival organisers may allow a digital submission direct but the form and fee must be paid in full before we will consider the film. Please don't ask us to view public links for films as films in the public domain will not be accepted. You can make general submissions via this site (and others as mentioned on our web site)

Submission to the Three Minute Shorts competition is free via Festival Focus.

Entry fees for All Standard CALL FOR ENTRIES is £25 on Festival Focus only:

Submissions deadline is 30th June 2018

Final extended deadline is 7th July 2018

PLEASE NOTE, LOCAL FILMMAKERS AND THOSE FROM GREATER MANCHESTER THAT HAVE HAD FILMS SHOWN AT KINO SHORTS (OUR MONTHLY EVENT) CAN SUBMIT FILMS FOR £15 UNTIL further notice (evidence of previous films screened will be requested). THESE DISCOUTS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY TO OUR REGION'S FILMMAKERS IN RETURN FOR THEIR SUPPORT FOR OUR MONTHLY EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. If there is no code on here then to get the discount you need to submit those films on FilmFreeway.

Student films can be submitted for the same as above (£15) until further notice. get your films in now to avoid increases on Filmfreeway.

Youth films (under 17) can be submitted Free. Contact us for codes for use on FilmFreeway only.
