Festival Overview

The mission of the Breckenridge Festival of Film (BFF) is to challenge, stimulate and enrich the intellectual and cultural life of our community through the celebration of film by providing cutting-edge entertainment, cultural and educational media programs, and to attract visitors throughout Colorado and the nation to Summit County for the four-day BFF. In 2013, it returns to the fall format and is slated for Sept. 19-22.


Best Picture awards exist in all categories; Drama, Short Drama, Comedy, Short Comedy, Documentary and Spiritual. In addition, there are awards for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Student Film and an Audience Award. New in 2013 is the Adventure films segment, which encompasses all things adventure, outdoors and wildlife. A People's Choice award will be given at the special screening.
