5th Wexford Documentary Film festival
The 5th Independent Documentary Film festival will take place in Kilmore Quay
From Friday 22nd September - sun 24th September. The project is run via a volunteer committee of film enthusiasts. And thanks in large part to local and national sponsorship.
The festival theme this year is "Community "
There are also a number of award winning International films on the themes of Social justice and Activism and human rights.
This year's festival will feature an extra number of workshops as well as all the usual after film discussions.

3 minute film challenge
The Wexford Documentary Film Festival will take place in the picturesque fishing village of Kilmore Quay, located in county Wexford. This dynamic film festival provides the opportunity to see award winning national and international documentary films.
The festival has a strong emphasis on screening films that explore social, political and environmental concerns, whilst also including a number of artists films and a 3 minute film challenge submission.
All film screenings at the festival are free and open to the public.
Submissions are now open for the 3 minute film challenge. Although this section is open to all artists, preference is given to filmmakers from Wexford or those with a connection to Wexford. Films of any genre or theme are welcome, and the maximum length of each film is 3 minutes. Please also include a link to view online.The Film Festival will make an award to the best Wexford 3 minute film.
Closing Date for submissions: Mon May 22nd 2017
There is a new 3 minute challenge section for students which will also have an award attached to it and any student interested need simply mark the entry ‘student’ next to their name.
