Festival Overview
The Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival and Film Market were created to bridge the gap between Hollywood, The World Film Community and the Brazilian Film Community. The festival creates unparalleled business and creative opportunities for diverse communities. Brazil developed in the recent past an incentive program fostering international co productions and fiscal rebates for local filming of international films.
History
The 1st Annual Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival and Film Market took place January 28TH - February 1st Annual 2009 Hollywood Brazilian film festival, held at the Egyptian theatre and Chinese theatre was a huge success thanks to the large turnout of celebrities, filmmakers, movie buffs and title sponsors.
It was an evening of a star studded cast of award presenters which included actors Matthew McConaughey,Rodrigo Santoro and Reynaldo Gienechini. The Festival's opening night film, "Romance", starring Wagner Moura , won the Best Feature Film Award. And we are ready for the second already.
