BOFA - Tasmania's Breath Of Fresh Air Film Festival -- recognises that screen-based stories are shared through countless ways, both fiction and non-fiction, from cinema and TV to the Internet and beyond.
At BOFA you will see the world's best screen-based stories, created by innovative filmmakers and digital artists, each with their own fresh perspective.
With its rich cultural and environmental heritage, Tasmania is the home for great art, music, food and wine. BOFA celebrates original thinkers, artists, musicians, filmmakers and digital storytellers - so come to BOFA to mingle, interact and connect.
But, the heart and soul of the festival lies in inspiring people to make positive changes at a personal, local and global level. The stories, the film-makers, the community events, the ideas, the debates, and the hopes we nurture at BOFA, are all about leaving the world better than we found it.
BOFA 2012 is the one festival you shouldn't miss. It is truly a breath of fresh air.
BOFA began in 2010, an initiative of the Launceston Film Society, Australia's largest film society, with 1400 members. It runs annually in November in one of Australia's most beautiful and historic regional centres
