LAST DAYS FOR SUBMISSION AT MYART FILM FESTIVAL
First edition of the Festival dedicated to young directors who tell migration and human rights in the Mediterranean countries.
3,000 euro award for documentaries, short films and EUR 1,500 for 500 euro for social commercials.
In the jury the documentarist Gianfranco Pannone, film producer Mario Mazzarotto and director Fabio Mollo.
Registrations expire March 31, 2017.
Proclamations and projections will be held in Cosenza on 28th-29th-30th April 2017
My Art Film Festival is organized by the multi-ethnic cultural association “La Kasbah” onlus of Cosenza – which is recipient of funds from the Dipartimento della Gioventù della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri to support activities which foster socio-cultural inclusion among the applicants and appointees of international protection, and the students of secondary schools in the area – and by the young cinema production company Lago Film in Cosenza. It will take place at Cosenza on 28th, 29th, and 30th April 2017. It enjoys the support of the following partner institutions: Presidenza del Consiglio dei ministri – Dipartimento della Gioventù e del Servizio Sociale; Provincia di Cosenza; Comune di Cosenza; Sistema di Protezione per Richiedenti Asilo e Rifugiati (Sprar); Fondazione Migrantes; Fondazione Calabria Film Commission.
RULES AND GUIDELINES
Film can be submitted into three cinematographic sections:
Documentary films created by directors of the nationalities admitted to the competition (minimum duration 60 min.) On themes relating to immigration, integration and cross-cultural exchange in the Mediterranean area.
Prize 3.000 euros “Sprar Award” (acquisition of rights for their own promotional activities).
Short Feature Film Competition
Short fiction films created by directors of the nationalities admitted to the competition (maximum duration 30 min). On themes relating to immigration, integration, and cross-cultural exchange in the Mediterranean area.
Prize 1.500 euros “Migrantes Award” (acquisition of rights for their own promotional activities).
Non-profit Short Film Competition
Short films advertising non-profit causes created by any audiovisual medium in countries or nationalities of youth admitted to the competition (maximum duration 3 min) on themes relating to immigration, integration and cross-cultural exchange in the Mediterranean area.
Prize 500 euros “Migrantes Award” (acquisition of rights for their own promotional activities).
Critically-acclaimed films, films that have won prizes in major international festivals, the best of contemporary cinema that narrates and interprets reality on the themes relating to immigration, integration and cross-cultural exchange.
